"Mom, you left us beautiful memories, your love is still our guide,
Although we cannot see you, you're always at our side."
Marcella Adeline Kassman passed away peacefully on April 1, 2023, at Bethany Retirement Living in Fargo, ND, at the age of 88. She was born in Lehr, ND, on May 30, 1934.
She was very proud of her nurse training at the State Hospital in Jamestown, ND. After her training at the young age of 18, she married Delmar Kassman on June 6, 1952, and they were blessed with 50 years of marriage.
Our Mom loved her family to the moon and back. Some of her fondest memories were spending time with the whole family. She was the true meaning of all the hats she wore, such as wife, mom, grandma, great grandma, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved sewing, knitting, crocheting, crossword puzzles, and games that she would let the grandkids win at. She also loved music, and she was blessed to be able to play the piano by ear.
Marcella is survived by her children, Tom (Nancy) Kassman, Bonnie (Russ) Docken, Laura (Jon) Brahos; her grandchildren, Melissa (Jason) Sax, Jamie (Danny) Zielke, Sara Docken (Fiance' Louie), Kayla (Jireh) Mabamba and Trinity Brahos; her great-grandchildren, Grasyn, Brantley & Elliette Zielke and Vivian, Kyle and Lilian Mabamba, who were all the sparkle in her eyes. Marcella is also survived by two brothers, Earl (Euva) and ElRay (Delight).
She was preceded in death by her husband, Delmar; her grandson, Kyle Thomas Kassman; her parents, Albert and Lydia Fercho; and her siblings, Erma and Donnie, who are all waiting with open arms to welcome her into Heaven.
