Lynnette White

Lynnette “Lynn” White, 52, of Fargo, ND, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2007, at MeritCare Hospital, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Lynn was born February 9, 1955, to Alden and Lois (Johnson) Thiel in Breckenridge, MN. She moved with her family in 1955, to Moorhead, MN, where she grew up and attended school, graduating from Moorhead High School in 1973. Lynn joined the service (Air Force Reserve and then the Army) shortly after graduation, where she met her husband, Charles “Chuck” White, of Alliance, OH. They were married July 9, 1976. Soon after, they moved to Fargo where they made their home and raised their family. Throughout the children’s elementary years, Lynn was an active member of the Madison PTA. During their junior high and high school years, she became an avid supporter of the Fargo North and FMY Gators swim teams and the Fargo North Cross Country and Track teams. She enjoyed employment, in the office, with Scheel’s All Sports for 19 years. Lynn spent her free time gardening and had a great love of books and reading. Lynn is survived by her husband of 31 years, Charles L. and by her two children, Charles L. II and Pamela Jo, all of Fargo, ND; parents, Alden “Bud” and Lois Thiel, Moorhead, MN; siblings, Vickie (Mike) Anderson; Terre (Kathy) Thiel, all of Moorhead, MN; Cherie (Mike) Merritt, Fargo, ND; Tim Thiel, Glennwood, MN; mother-in-law, Georgia “JoAnn” White, Alliance, OH; as well as many brother and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Lynn was an unselfish and caring person. She will always be remembered for her fun-loving spirit and positive attitude. Funeral Service: Thursday, July 26, 2007, at 1:00 PM, at Hanson-Runsvold Chapel, Fargo, ND. Visitation: Wednesday, from 6-8 PM, at Hanson-Runsvold. Burial: Holy Cross Cemetery, Fargo, ND.
