Lynn A. Engel passed away Tuesday March 8, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. Lynn was born August, 10, 1950 in Fargo, ND the son of Allen and Jeanette. He attended Fargo North High School and was active in DECA, graduating in 1968. He attended MSU later joining the Army Reserves specializing in the pharmacy division. Lynn enjoyed summers at the lakes, antiquing and hunting with friends and family. He spent his career in sales and the furniture industry. Lynn enjoyed his latter years in Nevada and Arizona, recently returning home to Fargo. Lynn will be remembered for his quick wit, sense of humor, kindness and contagious smile.
Lynn had a very strong faith and loved the Lord with all his heart. He was baptized and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church and recently found comfort attending Recovery Worship.
He is survived by his mother, Jeanette (Richard) Burchill; daughter, Brandee (Brent) Sperry; son, Shane Engel (Kimberly Nilles); brother, Rick (Ramona) Engel; sisters, Carrie (Brian) Tweten, Jolene (David) Hettwer and Kelsey Engel; grandchildren, Myles, Karlee and Gracee Sperry who fondly called him Papa Lynn. He was looking forward to a new granddaughter McKenna, due in August. Also surviving Lynn is his dear friend, Vickie Reynolds, beloved dog, Jaxx and many nieces and nephews. Lynn is preceded in death by his son, Shawn; father, Allen; sister, Julie Lackmann and his grandparents.
