Lucille M. Haugen, 87, of Fargo, ND, passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at Bethany Retirement Living, Fargo.
Lucille Marilyn Hoie was born on December 28, 1925 in Shelly, MN to Lewis and Josephine (Orvik) Hoie.
She attended Pathfinder School, District No. 13, and graduated from Climax High School in 1943. Lucille married Ardell Haugen on September 20, 1947, and they had four sons, Donald Steven, Robert Keith, Jerald Ardell, and Richard Allen.
Lucille was employed as a secretary to the assistant director of agriculture at North Dakota State University for seventeen years. The last ten years she ran the pesticide training program at the university.
Lucille is survived by her sons, Donald (Glenda) of Fargo, ND; Robert (Debra) of Hendrum, MN; Jerry (Kathi) of West Linn, OR; and Richard (Mary) of Nisswa, MN; five grandchildren, Eric (Teresa) Haugen; Elizabeth (Casey) Mieke; Travis (Christy) Haugen; Katie (Jake) Wiser; and David Taylor; and five great-grandchildren, Jessica, Andy, and Lily Haugen; Jayden Kain; and Kyrie Haugen.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ardell; sister, Gladys; brothers, Arnold and Vernon; and granddaughter, Meredith Haugen.
