Lowell Mueller

Lowell V. Mueller, 67, Fargo, ND, died Saturday, May 12, 2007, at Rosewood on Broadway, Fargo, ND. Lowell was born May 2, 1940, in McVille, ND, to Oscar and Maxine (Hauge) Mueller. He grew up and graduated from high school there in 1958. Lowell worked construction for two years before serving in the U.S. Army. After his discharge from the service, he worked for St. Ansgar Hospital in Moorhead and later for the VA Hospital. Lowell married Marie Anderson on October 17, 1964 in Rollag, MN. In 1966, Lowell attended Mohler Barber College in Fargo. He began his career as a barber at the NDSU Barber Shop and then worked at Northport Barber Shop before opening Edgewood Barber Service in the Valley North Shopping Center. He also managed the shopping center. Lowell also owned the Lords’ n’ Ladies’, and the Beauty Lane of Detroit Lakes, MN and currently owns the Village Hair Design in Fargo. Lowell was very active in the community. He was past president of the Fargo-Moorhead Barbers’ Association, the North Dakota Barbers’ Association, and the Fargo-Moorhead Bowling Association. He was active in the Edgewood Lion’s Club, The Shiloh Masonic Lodge, and the Valley Vintage Car Club. He was a member of the El Zagal Provost Unit and was currently on the Divan, where he would have been Potentate in 2009. He was also a member of The Royal Order of Jesters. He was on the Church Council and the Youth Board of Messiah Lutheran Church. Lowell loved spending time with his family and friends. He especially enjoyed camping, golfing, dancing, watching softball games, and vintage cars. Lowell is survived by his wife, Marie, Fargo, ND; son, Darren Mueller, Fargo, ND; daughter, Angie Mueller, Fargo, ND; mother, Maxine Mueller, McVille, ND; brother, Bryant (Brenda) Mueller, Rolla, ND; and sister, Shari (Royal) Ness, Omaha, NE; and many nephews and a niece. He was preceded in death by his father, Oscar. Funeral: Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Messiah Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND. Visitation: Tuesday, May 15, 2007 from 5:00-7:00PM at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home. Masonic Service: Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at 7:00PM at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home.
