Lota Junge Holly, 81, of Fargo, ND, died Sunday, April 4, 2010, at her home in Fargo. Lota Junge was born November 6, 1928, in Braddock, North Dakota, daughter of Herman and Irene (Olson) Junge. She grew up and attended school in Braddock, Woods and West Fargo, ND. She graduated from North Dakota State University, Fargo, in 1949, where she was a Gamma Phi Beta, an Edwin Booth member and student teacher of Robert’s Rules of Orders to 90 returning veterans in the engineering class as that was a required course for them. What a learning experience! She married Donald Holly on June 19, 1950. While he was finishing college, she worked for the federal government in the farm program PMA. Don and Lota had four children and 10 grandchildren and she didn’t miss work at all. When the youngest child went to Agassiz, she started working for Fargo Water Equipment for 17 years. Lota participated in Campfire girls as a leader, makeup personnel for the opera, History Section of Fine Arts and First United Methodist Church data entry work. She enjoyed camping with the family. In retirement, she enjoyed their yard of flowers and vegetables, and reading all printed material. She is survived by her son Rick Holly, Fargo, ND; Robin and Randi, Kingwood, TX; daughter, Susan (Rodney) Boutelle, Cody, WY; Courtney and Clinton, Cody, WY; daughter, Elizabeth (Michael) Rindal, Noonan, ND; Justin (Ashley), Noonan, Melissa and Isaiha, Ray, and Lee (Tessa) of Fargo; son, Christopher (Nancy), Holly, Heather, Jennifer and Trent, all of Homer, Glen, IL; brother, Keith (Joyce) Junge, Big Floyd Lake, MN, and Mission, TX; brother and sister-in-law, Harlan and Ardie Holly, Detroit Lakes, MN, and Scottsdale, AZ, and sister and brother-in-law, Ione and Jerry Benshoof, Bloomington, MN; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Don. Funeral Service: Friday, April 9, 2010, at 1:00 PM, at First United Methodist Church, Fargo, ND. Visitation: One hour prior to the service at the church. Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo, ND.
