Lorraine Swenson

Lorraine Swenson, 96, Fargo, died Monday, December 8, 2008 at Bethany Homes, Fargo, ND. Lorraine Elizabeth Lena Swenson was born on July 27, 1912, on a farm by Wolverton, Minnesota. She was the youngest of 11 children born to Andrew and Johanna (Johnson) Swenson. She attended a country school and graduated from Wolverton High School. After her parents passed away, she moved to Fargo and attended Dakota Business College. She worked for the Veterans Administration Center for over 34 years in food service and clerical positions. Lorraine is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; and six sisters. Funeral Service: 10:00 am, Saturday, December 13, 2008, at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, ND. Visitation: 4-7pm, Friday, December 12, 2008 at the funeral home. Burial: Salem Cemetery, Wolverton, Minnesota.
