Lorraine H. Sprenger, 81, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2013, surrounded by her family, at Bethany Retirement Living, Fargo, ND.
Lorraine was born June 11, 1931 to Oscar and Hilma Pallum in Minneapolis, MN. In 1935 she moved with her family to a farm near Borup, MN where she grew up. She attended a country school and then graduated from Borup High School in 1948. She attended Interstate Business College, Fargo, where she met the love of her life, Aaron Sprenger.
On September 10, 1950 Lorraine was married to Aaron in Fargo, making their home in South Fargo for 6 years before moving to North Fargo.
Lorraine worked as a secretary until they started a family then choosing to stay at home with her children until they graduated from high school. When returning to work she employed at Trans America Life where she retired in 2007. She had many hobbies such as knitting, crocheting, fishing and most of all playing Bingo with Aaron. Lorraine was known as being the camp cook at the lake where she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She was proceeded in death by her husband, Aaron, in 2000; her parents; and brother, Marvin.
Lorraine is survived by one son, Steven (Gayle), Fargo, ND; one daughter Sharon (Dennis) Spittler, West Fargo, ND; one sister Marlene (Cecil) Sprenger, Borup, MN; 3 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved cats.
Memorials preferred to Bethany Pet Therapy Program or Roger Maris Cancer Center.
