Lorraine Aanderud

Lorraine Harriet “Sister” Aanderud of Fargo, ND, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2009 at MeritCare Hospital. Lorraine was born May 17, 1931 in Maddock, ND to Pete and Molly Trimmer. Graduating from the Benson County “Aggie” school in Maddock, she married Donald Aanderud on October 19, 1951. Lorraine worked in the Gambles Store in Maddock, Osco Drug in Fargo, and Christensen Landscape Service. She retired from the Fargo Clinic Pharmacy. Lorraine was a member of the AMVETS Auxillary and the Sons of Norway. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church since 1951. She served on the Altar Guild and Funeral Unit. Lorraine is survived by two daughters; Rachel (John) Dahl, Fargo and Rochelle (Greg) Olson , Fargo; one son, Mark Aanderud, Kelso, Washington; four granddaughters, Erika (Brian) Kaldenberg, Iowa City, Iowa, Jeana Dahl, Kathryn Olson, and Laura Olson; three sisters Elnor (Ivar) Haugen and Mercedes Motschenbacher, Maddock ND, Delores (Jim) Morken, Minot, ND; one brother Harold (Vicki) Trimmer, Fargo ND; and many extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to “The Hour of Worship” at Messiah Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND. Memorial Service: Saturday, March 28, 2009, at 11:00 AM, at Messiah Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND. Visitation: One hour prior to service at the church.
