Loriena Graf, 81 of Fargo, died peacefully Friday, March 12, 2010 at her home under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley and in the company of friends. Loreina was born May 12, 1928 in rural Streeter, ND. She was Peter and Bertha (Dammel) Graf’s only child. She graduated Salutatorian from Medina High School in 1946 and in 1947 from Central Dakota Commercial College. She worked in Jamestown until moving to Fargo around 1958 to work as an accountant for US West Communications eventually transferring to Omaha, NE. She retired in 1990. Loriena was always invested in her community and church, most recently Elim Lutheran in Fargo. She had a heart for helping those in need, actively serving in such organizations as New Life Center, Churches United for the Homeless and Habitat for Humanity. Loriena was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her aunt Arlene Dammel of Ocala, FL, uncle Reuben (Ann) Graf of Medina, many cousins and her “adoptive family” Marion (Late Bruce) Miller, Becky (Russ) Tweiten, Deb (Ron) Stevens, Joe and John Miller and Michelle (Ken) Enockson. Visitation: Tuesday, March 16, 2010 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM followed by a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo. Funeral: Thursday, March 18, 2010, 10:00 AM at Elim Lutheran Church, Fargo. Burial: Medina Cemetery, Medina, ND.
