Loretta D. Mittleider, 74, Fargo, ND died Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND, surrounded by her family.
Loretta was born February 15, 1939 in Tappen, ND to Emil and Emma Schock. She grew up and attended school in Tappen.
Loretta married Leo Mittleider October 20, 1957 in Cleveland, ND. The couple lived in Tappen before moving to Harwood, ND; Moorhead, MN and settling in Fargo, ND.
Loretta had a great love for children. She fostered babies for 10 years through Lutheran Social Services. She also did in-home daycare for 17 years. She was affectionately known as “Mrs.” by all her daycare families.
Loretta enjoyed embroidery, crocheting, camping and fishing, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Leo; three daughters, Leatta Mittleider (Jeff Dennis), Fargo, ND; Lynette Mallick, Fargo, ND; and Lola (Gary) Keller, Pelican Rapids, MN; 5 grandchildren, Jacob, Molly and Alexandria Mallick, Fargo, ND: Kayla Keller, Fergus Falls, MN; and Justin Keller, Fort Worth, TX; one brother, Floyd Schock, Albuquerque, New Mexico; one sister, Thelma Seibel, Bismarck, ND; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by infant son, Larry, and her parents.
