Lois L. Semmens

Lois Lorraine Semmens was born December 3, 1928 in Sykeston, ND, to Edward and Ida (Feigner) Guenther. She grew up and attended school in the Sykeston area. Lois married Oliver Semmens on October 6, 1947. She worked various jobs and retired from JC Penney. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, bowling, and gardening. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who loved to entertain her family with her good cooking.

Lois died Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at Sanford Health in Fargo.

She is survived by her daughter, Debra (David) Sillerud, Sauk Centre, MN; sons, Gordie Semmens, Fargo, ND, and Gary (Karen) Semmens, Grand Forks, ND; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; her sister, Clarice Seil, Lisbon, ND; and sister-in-law, Barbara (Robert) Huss, Moses Lake, WA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Gordon.
