Lois Mae Haworth, 96, of Fargo, ND, died December 25, 2022 at SMP - St. Catherine’s South in Fargo under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Lois Mae Page was born May 1, 1926 in Northfield, MN, and was the oldest of seven children (five brothers and one sister).

Lois grew up in Northfield. After high school, she worked as a telephone operator for Northwestern Bell Telephone Company. Her best friend, who worked with her, set her up on a blind date, who then became her husband. George and Lois were married and had two daughters, Barbara and Beverly. After moving to Fargo, she worked as a switchboard operator at St. Luke’s Hospital in the business office. She continued to work for 20-plus years and then retired when the hospital became MeritCare.

Lois loved cooking, baking, and especially gardening. Lois and George were longtime members of Faith United Methodist Church. They often traveled with their good friends in retirement.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Elanor and John Page; husband, George; daughter, Barbara Davis; brothers, Rodger (June), Percy (Lois), LeRoy (Marie) and Don Page.

She is survived by her daughter, Beverly (Terry) Cullen, Fargo, ND; sister, Betty (Roland) Krenke, Owatonna, MN; brother, John Page, Northfield, MN; granddaughter, Andrea (Jeromy) Kloss, Gilbert, AZ; grandson, Mark Davis; and great-granddaughter, Hannah Davis, Brooklyn Park, MN.

A celebration of life will be in the spring or summer.
