Linda Ward, 84, of Fargo, ND, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2024 at Eventide at Sheyenne Crossings, West Fargo, ND

Linda Josephine Campanella entered this world on November 1, 1940 in East Saint Louis, IL, born to Frank and Evelyn (Easley) Campanella. Linda married Richard "Dick" Ward on June 11, 1966 in East St. Louis, IL.

Linda had a Masters Degree in Education, and was a beloved teacher of many in Fargo. She taught in the Fargo Public Schools for her entire career, most of which was teaching 5th grade at Longfellow Elementary in North Fargo.

Following her retirement from teaching, Linda spent many hours volunteering at MeritCare Hospital delivering magazines and flowers to patients. After Dick died in 2010, Linda enjoyed traveling to Arizona, Wisconsin, and Illinois to visit family and friends and even went on a Carribean Cruise with dear friends. She loved to read and worship at her church, Faith United Methodist in Fargo.

Linda is survived by her sister, Joyce (Steve) Padgett, Fairview Heights, IL; brother, Larry Campanella, Salem, IL; brothers-in-law, Larry Jauch, Land O' Lakes, FL; Nicolas Giuliano, Gaithersburg, MD; nieces and nephews, John Albertini, Margery Albertini, Steve Albertini, Angie Albertini, Lisa Bradley, Jill Jauch, Nick Giuliano, Andrea Giuliano, Steve Padgett and Jennifer Lerch; great-nieces and great-nephews, Anthony Holten, Vivian Holten, Miranda Bradley, Autumn Bradley, Dharius Damavandi, Alex Damavandi, Olivia Lerch, and Daniella Padgett.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dick; siblings, Diane Albertini, Louise Giuliano, and Cathy Jauch.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00am, Monday, November 18, 2024, at Faith United Methodist Church, Fargo, ND with a visitation one hour prior.

Burial: Holy Cross Cemetery - North, Fargo, ND.
