Linda Schmaltz, 73, of Fargo, ND, passed away on Sunday, July 18, 2021 at Essentia Health in Fargo, ND.

Linda Hendrickson was born on January 17, 1948 in Fargo, ND to Sigvard and Luella (Amundson) Hendrickson. She graduated from Fargo North High School in 1966. On July 10, 1978 she married Phil Schmaltz in Fargo.

Linda owned and operated a daycare for over 37 years, and was still in contact with some of the kids she had cared for. Anyone who knew Linda was aware of how talented she was at arts and crafts. She spent countless hours this last year making masks which she donated to those who needed them.

Linda is survived by her husband of 43 years, Phil; daughter, Shellee (Shawn) Coulter, Fargo, ND; grandchildren, Khristian (Trevor) Anderson, Chantelle (Philip Mayer), Jake, Hunter, and Aiden; great-grandchildren, Jett, Rhett, and Amelia Anderson; sister, Carole (John) Stewart; brother, Dan Hendrickson; brother-in-law, Walter Schmaltz; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Jack, Bill, and Richard Hendrickson.

Funeral Service: 10am, Friday, July 23, 2021 with a visitation one hour prior at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, ND. The service will be livestreamed on the funeral home website.
