Linda Dawn Richardson

Linda Richardson, 67, of Fargo, ND, died unexpectedly on Friday, October 6, 2017 at her home in Fargo.

Linda Dawn Heier was born March 7, 1950 in Jamestown, ND to Raymond and Dorothy (Stelter) Heier. She grew up and attended schools in Jamestown, graduating from Jamestown High School. She married Gene Schmidt after graduating, and they had one son, Lonnie Schmidt.

Linda held various bookkeeping positions, and later attended Interstate Business College where she received a degree in medical transcription. She worked as a transcriptionist for MeritCare Hospital and Sanford until her retirement in 2011.

On October 19, 2001, Linda married Terry Richardson in Fargo, ND, where they made their home.

Linda was an active life member and past-president of the Fargo AmVets Post 7 Auxiliary and life member of the Fargo VFW Post 762 Auxiliary. She enjoyed taking care of flowers, spending time with her dog, Sassi, reading, and spending time with her family.

Linda is survived by her husband, Terry; children, Lonnie D. Schmidt, Fargo, ND; Samantha (Kevin) Romfo, Phoenix, AZ; Lisa Richardson, Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Lonnie Stanley Ray Schmidt, Kathryn and Reid Romfo; mother, Dorothy Heier; and brother, Steven Heier.

She was preceded in death by her father; and sister-in-law, Diane Heier.

Memorials are preferred to the AmVets Post 7 Auxiliary or the VFW Post 762 Auxiliary, both in Fargo.
