Linda Lee Johnson, of Fargo, ND, died peacefully on May 23, 2019 at home under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.
Linda was born on October 19, 1954 to Leo and Frances (Todd) Simmer in San Diego, CA. She grew up in San Diego, CA, Yokosuka, Japan, Wahpeton, and Fargo, ND.
She married Tim Johnson on April 11, 1974 in Fargo, ND. They lived in Fargo and then the Minneapolis area until 1990 when they divorced. Linda returned to Fargo and worked at Blue Cross and Blue Shield and Noridian.
Linda enjoyed listening to music, watching movies, reading, and anything Harry Potter.
Linda was a loving mother and grandmother, wonderful sister, kind and caring aunt and friend. She will be missed.
Linda leaves behind her daughter, Heather (Kevin) Anderson, grandson Braxton, sister Mary Simmer, brother Frank Simmer, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, and son Doug.
Memorial service: 2:00 PM (preceded by a Visitation at 1:00 PM) at Peace Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND. Refreshments at the church following the service. Those who wish, may join us at Riverside Cemetery for the burial afterwards.
