Lilly Ingeborg Stadum, 92, of Fargo, ND died April 12, 2015 at Rosewood Nursing Home.
Lilly was born October 8, 1922 to Gerda and Carl Johanson at Colman, SD. In 1927 her parents moved to a farm west of Flandreau, SD. She attended grade school in Flandreau, SD and graduated from high school in Egan, SD. She attended Madison State Normal in Madison, SD and LBI in Minneapolis, MN. She taught elementary school in Flandreau, SD. She met Ernest Stadum at Mount Carmel Bible Camp near Alexandria, MN and they were married on August 27, 1955. After marriage, they lived in Seattle (internship) and served parishes in Milton, ND, Bowdon, ND, Finley, ND, Crookston, MN, Beltrami, MN and Fargo, ND.
They had three children, David, Mark and Miriam. Lilly’s life revolved around her family and her many church activities. She loved sewing and made countless garments and quilts for many in her life. She led Bible studies and Sunday school classes in many parishes. Lilly’s faith in our Lord Jesus Christ was always evident in how she lived. Her life was a living demonstration of “being a servant”. She continuously placed the needs of others above hers.
She is survived by her husband Ernest Stadum; 3 children, David (Cynthia) Stadum, Mark (Kelly) Stadum and Miriam (Mark) Kindem; grandchildren, Sarah (James) McKeown, Cole Kindem, Matthew Kindem, Dannica (Joe) Sturgeon, Michael (Christina) Stadum and Makenna Stadum. She recently became a great grandmother with the birth of Jenna Leigh Sturgeon. She was preceded in death by her parents and 3 brothers, Oscar Walter Johanson, Carl Einar Johanson and Robert Bernhard Johanson.

Thank you to all who have joined us in this celebration of Lilly’s life. We will forever miss the smile and hospitality of Lilly. We are comforted in knowing she is rejoicing in heaven and was met with a resounding “Well done, good and faithful servant”.
