Leslie Steussy, 62, died March 31,2010, surrounded by family, at his home in Moorhead, MN. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 7th at 1 PM at First Congregational Church, 406 8th Street South in Moorhead. Leslie was born May 1,1947 in Fergus Falls, MN to Lloyd and Hazel Steussy. He grew up on a farm in Foxhome, MN. Leslie’s education started in a one-room school, Riverside Elementary, and continued at Campbell High School. He graduated in 1965 and went on to Fergus Falls Junior College and Moorhead State College, earning his AA, BA in graphic design, and BS in art education. He graduated with honors in 1971 from Moorhead State. Leslie was awarded a fellowship at Indiana University and did a year of graduate work there. He married Patricia Connell in 1971. His work experiences included a production position with Creative Visuals in Minneapolis, teaching art in Browerville, Mn., and seven years as assistant manager at The Photo Center in Fergus Falls. In 1984, Leslie moved to Moorhead and worked at Mathison’s in Fargo. He later worked for The Print Center, University Press and Express Press. Most recently Leslie worked in Food Service at Concordia College in Moorhead. He is survived by his wife and parents; son, Jason and his wife, Kari Keehr; daughter, Christine Keller and her husband, Sean; granddaughter, Jada Steussy; brothers Dennis (Cyndee) and Bradley (Michele); sisters Paulette Steussy and Paula (Wayne) Holznagel. Leslie was preceded in death by his grandparents, his brother Dale Steussy and a nephew, Ethaniel Holznagel.
