Ledene Marie Suppa

October 3, 1924 — September 12, 2017

Ledene (Jensen) Suppa - born October 3, 1924 to Arthur and Bessie Mae Jensen, a woman that words simply cannot describe nor do justice, was called by God, this past Tuesday, September 12, 2017, to his glorious kingdom to rejoin her true love, Frank.

Ledene was born in Albert Lea, Minnesota, and on August 14, 1947, she married the one and only love of her life, Frank, a handsome Italian. Thus began what she always described as her most important calling in life, that of wife and mother. She proudly raised three wonderful children, Andria, Frank, and David, and assisted greatly in raising her three grandchildren, Christopher, Katie, and Robert. She was always there with her guiding light to assist her children through the perils of life’s ups and downs. All the while she enjoyed and cherished being a wife and partner to the most important man in her life, her husband Frank.

Ledene was preceded by her husband, Frank; brothers, Delmer and Floyd Jensen and sisters, Luella and Genavieve Jensen. She is survived by daughter, Andria Kragnes (Allan) of Kansas City, MO; sons, Frank (Lon) of Minneapolis and David of Fargo; brothers, Foster, Leland, and Lloyd (Mary Ellen) Jensen; sisters, Bonnie Manning and Betty Watson; grandchildren, Christopher Kragnes (Tiffany), Katie and Robert Suppa and great-grandchildren, Christopher Kragnes Jr., and Alicia Kragnes.

Ledene was a woman who lived life to the fullest. She was a daughter, mother, NDSU retiree, American Legion Auxiliary President, Veterans Administration Hospital Volunteer, where she was awarded the President’s Volunteer Award from President Bush for providing over 6000 hours of volunteer time, sister, friend, grandmother, great-grandmother, and community volunteer. But, most important to her and the only title that truly mattered, was that of wife (and spaghetti queen!) to the boy she loved every day, Frank. She will be missed, but never forgotten.

The family extends their sincere and grateful appreciation to all members of the Skilled Nursing staff at Bethany Nursing Home.
