Laverne Nystul

Laverne E. Nystul, 88 of Fargo, died, Thursday, August 26, 2010 at Sanford Palliative Care Unit, Fargo, ND. Laverne was born August 4, 1922 to John and Eunice (Zimbelman) Ulmer in Fullerton, ND. She attended school in Fullerton and Business School in Fargo. Laverne worked for the St. Paul Companies for 36 years. She then worked as an Administrative Secretary at Blue Cross/ Blue Shield. She married Peter Nystul on January 18, 1944 in Springfield, MO. They raised their family in Fargo. Laverne enjoyed knitting, crocheting and ceramics. She sang in choir her entire life. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and DAV Auxiliary She is survived by her son, Robert (Kay) Nystul, WI; two grandchildren, Nickolas and Laurel. She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter and her parents. Funeral: Saturday, August 28, 2010, 7:00 PM at Olivet Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND. Visitation: One hour prior to services at the church. Burial: Davenport Cemetery, Davenport, ND.
