Larry Ernest

Larry Ernest, 61, of Fargo, ND, died Sunday, November 7, 2010, at Sanford Health, Fargo. Larry Alton Ernest was born April 11, 1949, in Union Hospital, Mayville, ND, to Earl and Hazel (Mastrud) Ernest. He was raised in Portland, ND, and graduated from Portland High School in 1967. He married Susan Nygaard in 1969. They raised their family in Fargo and were married 25 years. He married Shelly Christiansen in 2005. Larry held a number of jobs over his work career, most as a custodian at MSUM, and was employed by DGF schools in Dilworth at the time of his death. His interest included drawing, bowling and playing pool. He was a devoted Vikings football fan and Elvis fan. Larry is survived by his wife, Shelly, Fargo, ND; four children, Jodi (Chris) Buzick, Amber and Aaron, Argusville, ND; Chad (Shelby), Austin and Alexus, West Fargo, ND; Kelly, West Fargo; and Shawn, Fargo; two step-children, Bryan Williamson, West Fargo; and Kylee Williamson, Woodbury, MN; two sisters, Linda Osland, Mayville, ND; and Lona Olson, Portland, ND. Larry was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Service: Thursday, November 11, 2010, at 10:00 AM, at Peace Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND. Visitation: Wednesday, November 10, 2010, from 5 – 7:15 PM, at Peace Lutheran Church with a Prayer Service at 7:15 PM.
