Landon Cole Solberg

June 29, 2007 — September 17, 2019

Landon Cole Solberg was granted his angel wings on September 17, 2019 at the young age of 12, following a courageous battle with an aggressive brain tumor. He passed away peacefully in his West Fargo home surrounded by family. He spent quality time with friends and family he adored in the final weeks before his death. Landon was a beloved son, grandson, brother, nephew, friend and inspiration to all that knew him.

Landon was born on June 29, 2007 in Fargo, North Dakota to Travis and Andrea Solberg. He always lived life with kindness, love, loyalty, and compassion for others. Landon made a true impact on this world by simply being himself. He would have been a 6th grader at Liberty Middle School this year. He enjoyed school and took great pride in his academic performance. He had a love for many other things in life, including NDSU athletics, Philadelphia Eagles football, basketball, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Taylor Swift, and time at the lake. Landon displayed a deep love and loyalty to his friends and family and cherished his time with them. Above all, he had a love and trust in the Lord that allowed him to face life’s challenges with peace, comfort, and maturity far beyond his years. Landon enjoyed growing in his faith each Sunday with his Prairie Heights Church family.

Landon’s life is one to be celebrated as he reminded so many of the importance of living a significant life, focused on kindness, love, and faith. Landon’s Light will continue to shine bright throughout the community and within our hearts forever. From the day Landon entered this world, Travis and Andrea have felt honored and privileged to be his parents.

Landon is survived by his parents, Travis and Andrea Solberg, his two younger siblings, Emry and Griffin, and grandparents, Richard and Pat North, Kevin and Randie Schlager, all of Valley City, ND; and Richard and Marcia Solberg of Webster, SD. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Brandon and Heather Solberg (Orner), Josh and Kari Solberg (Metzger), Matt North, and Jason North, as well as, many cousins and friends that loved him dearly.

Landon will be greatly missed by his friends and family and was at peace knowing he left the world a better place by shining his light and love for the Lord for so many to see.

Please join us in our celebration of life service in remembering and honoring Landon. We know Landon will find great comfort in looking down on the positive impact he has made on this world.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Landon Solberg Fund at Bell Bank, 3100 13th Ave S, to further the mission of Landon’s Light within our community.
