Kristine Anne Sellie-Hanson, 39, of Carrollton, KY, formerly of Fargo, ND, passed away June 3, 2024, at the University of Louisville Hospital. Kristine died from an embolic stroke.
Kristine was born in Harvey, ND, to Karen and Michael Keller, on June 9, 1984. She attended Fargo Public Schools, and graduated in 2002. She enjoyed art, ballet, music, and her passion was her time spent playing the piano. Kristine was involved in dance as a student at both Bonnie Haney School of Dance, and at Red River Dance. She was active in the Arts Adventure program for youth, and also offered Yoga classes for young adults at the Spirit Room in Fargo, as well as an Honor Student in school. For a number of years after high school, she worked in retail sales and one of her most favorite jobs was working as a server at the Fortune House Restaurant. In her mid-twenties, Kristine set off with her boyfriend Chris to explore life beyond Fargo. They lived for a time in Texas, Florida, Indiana and later in Kentucky. It was while living in Florida, that she gave birth to her daughter Estella. After moving back to Indiana, the relationship with Chris ended, and Estella went to live with her grandparents. Kristine met another young man, Lance, whom she said she loved very much, and lived with him until being hospitalized with a severe respiratory illness. Most recently, Kristine was living in the care home, Carrollton Manor, in Carrollton, KY.
Kristine was preceded in death by her birth father, Michael Keller, and her mother, Karen Sellie. Kristine is survived by her daughter Estella; a sister, Kari; a brother, John; her adoptive father; CT Hanson; her uncles & aunts - Peter and Kathy Sellie, Dorothy Satrom, Cordell and Marybeth Hanson, Gail Keller, Debbie Kourajian, Tom and Lori Keller, Kathy and Kent Taylor, Paulette and Bob Deutsch, Mary and Carson Steiner, Julie and Rockie Stavn, Geoff and Beverly Keller, Steven and Beckee Keller; along with many loving cousins.
A Memorial Service is being held at 11:00 a.m., June 22, 2024, at Hope Lutheran Church (2900 North Broadway, Fargo, ND); and will be followed by burial at Holy Cross Cemetery (1502 32nd Av North, Fargo, ND). The service will be livestreamed on the funeral home website. Arrangements are through Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo.
