Kimberly Stanley, 58, of Fargo, ND, died on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 under the care of her family and Hospice of the Red River Valley after a brief battle with lymphoma.
Kimberly Jean Young was born on December 4, 1963 in San Bernardino, CA to Karen Thornton and Billy Young and also a significant person in her life was her step-father, Richard Thornton. Kim was raised mostly in California, aside her siblings, Kathy and Kelly. Growing up she enjoyed cheerleading, dance, and girl scouts. She graduated high school from Granada High School in 1982.
Most of her adult life she was a military wife, devoting herself to supporting the armed forces. Kim had three daughters, Nichole, Jackie, and Cory. She was a devoted grandmother to her ten beloved grandchildren. She also loved dogs, and was a fur mom to Abbie, Griffin, and Norman.
Kim lived an active life, enjoying being around friends and family, attending concerts, painting and spending the weekends on the lake with her companion guy.
Kim is survived by her parents Karen and Richard Thornton of Fargo, ND, her children Nichole (Lloyd) McCulloch of Brighton, England, Jackie (Trevor) Fisher of Fargo ND and Cory (Travis) Hamilton of Killeen, TX; grandchildren Travis, Reese and Hayes Fisher, Fargo, ND; Riley, Hailey and Charlie of Killeen, TX; her sisters Kathy Kober of Livermore, CA and Kelly Young of Fargo, ND and her beloved dog Norman as well as her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father Bill Young, grandparents Hoarse and Ethel Hill, Artie and Francis Jackson and Gladys and Clarence Foss.
Visitation: 1pm-3pm, Saturday, November 26, 2022 at the Avalon Event Center, Fargo, ND.
