Kenneth Sundet

Kenneth Sundet, 83, of Fargo, ND, died Monday, May 14, 2012, at Sanford Health, Fargo. Kenneth Neal Grant Sundet was born July 26, 1928, in Hickson, North Dakota, son of Grant and Nora (Alrich) Sundet. He attended elementary school in Hickson and graduated from Comstock, Minnesota High School. After high school, he began working on the family farm. Ken married Lucille Marple September 19, 1954, in Wendell, Minnesota. They lived near Hickson, where Ken farmed. In 1974, Ken started Sundet’s Landscaping. He retired in 1998. Ken was a lifelong member of Hickson Lutheran Church, past president of the church council and the North Pleasant Cemetery Board. He loved working on old cars, farm equipment and anything mechanical. He also loved to use the old farm equipment to maintain a large garden. Ken is survived by his wife, Lucille, Fargo, ND; two sons, Neal (Deb) Sundet, and Mark (Beth) Sundet, all of Fargo, ND; three daughters, Penny (Al) Hagen, New Richland, MN; Sharon Johnson, Eden Prairie, MN; and Joy Sundet, St. Louis Park, MN; a sister, Elizabeth Simonson, Fargo, ND; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Royal; and sister, Gloria Fraase. Funeral Service: Thursday, May 17, 2012, at 2:00 PM, at HIckson Lutheran Church, Hickson, ND. Visitation: Wednesday, May 16, 2012, from 5-7 PM, at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo. Burial: North Pleasant Cemetery, Hickson, ND.
