Kenneth Maxson

Kenneth Maxson, 72 died November 16, 2010 at his home in Fargo under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley. Kenneth was born on December 13, 1937 in Fargo, ND to Tony and Evelyn (Vigen) Maxson. Kenneth’s father died in 1941, and was raised by Evelyn and his step-father, Ray Kounovsky. Kenneth attended Fargo Central High School in 1955 and NDSU in 1970 for Industrial Engineering. Kenneth enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1956 and served in Washington, DC. He married Judy Saunders on June 15, 1963 in Buffalo, ND. Kenneth was involved in the trucking industry for his whole career. He was a Past Master of the East Gate Lodge #120 and a member of Scottish Rite, Oriental Band, El Zagal, and Mecca Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star where he was a Past Worthy Patron. Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents, his step-father and brother-in-law, Bill Saunders. He is survived by his wife, Judy; his sister, Gerry (Tom) Kennedy of Fargo, ND and his sister-in-law, Laurie (Milan) Drewlow of Breckenridge, MN as well as seven nephews. Memorials are suggested to Rite Care Language Center, El Zagal Red Fez Fund or Plymouth Congregational Church. Memorial Service: Saturday, November 20, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Plymouth Congregational, Fargo Visitation: Friday, November 19, 2010 from 5 to 7 PM at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo with a Masonic Service at 7:00 PM
