Kelly Mertz

Kelly Mertz, 44, of Fargo, ND, was called to her eternal resting place on Friday, May 3, 2019 at her home in Fargo.

Kelly Denise Mertz entered this world on January 10, 1975 in Bismarck, ND, born to Gerald and Jean Mertz.

Although Kelly graduated Summa Cum Laude from UND, her charm, witty humor and kindness brought the highest honor for those who knew her. Locally she was openly accepted into her family of friends at NDSU and Natural Grocers. Kelly had an unmistakable laugh and smile that would warm up a room and was the kind of person the world could use more of. We are all truly blessed to have had her in our lives.

Kelly is survived by her husband, David Johnson; mother, Jean (Dale) Ziegler, Bismarck, ND; sisters, Tracy Mertz, Fargo, ND and Melissa (Cris Jury) Mertz, Everett, WA; her cat, Eva; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Gerald and her grandparents, Ted and Bertha Schock, and Gustav Mertz.
