Kay Louise Ornberg
Kay was born in Fargo, ND; the first born of Arthur and Frances Jensen. Kay graduated from Central High School and Concordia College in Moorhead, MN, with a degree in Art and English.
She married Paul Clinton Ornberg and they raised two daughters in a home that was designed by Kay, in Fargo, ND, later moved to Rollag, MN.
Her art career included teaching at Oak Grove High School, creating and selling her art in the form of watercolors (National Watercolor Society signature recipient), photography and one-of-a-kind clothing.
Her businesses and partnerships throughout her active career included: Gallery 4, Art Connection, Gallery in the Granary, art fairs across the United States and Kay Louise Cotton Closet.
Kay was a lover of art, music, nature and animals. Her art career was also a space for her to help the community whether it was being a good listener and friend, or teaching English (as a second language) to her diverse staff.
She is survived by her husband, Paul; their daughter and son-in-law, Gretchen and Jeff Schatz; and their daughter, Trudy.
