Kay Millicent Leverson (Myhra) 86, of Fargo, North Dakota, died on July 19, 2023 at her home under the care of Sanford Hospice in Fargo North Dakota.
Kay was born to Irven A. and Rose Myhra on December 13, 1936. A short time after, she was baptized on January 9, 1937 and later confirmed on April 2, 1950. She attended high school at Fargo Central, graduating in 1954. Shortly after this she married her husband Bruce Allen Leverson on February 16, 1957 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Fargo, ND. They went on to have five children who were the light of her life.
She attended Concordia College and graduated from Interstate Business College. She worked various jobs including the Cass County Clerk of Court, Grothe Income Tax Service, and Red Dot Uniform Shoppe.
After her children were grown Kay went "back to school". This was a wonderful experience for her; she attended NDSU where she graduated with honors. She was a member of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi. After graduation she worked at Fargo Senior Commission doing outreach.
She retired in 1996 to spend time in Sun City, Arizona with her husband. Kay was a sports fan; enjoying the Chicago Cubs and Dallas Cowboys. Her other hobbies included knitting, golf and making visits to see the elderly. She was a lifetime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Fargo where she attended a weekly bible class. This was something that she looked forward to and was deeply important to her.
The highlight of Kay's life was raising her five wonderful children and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Bruce A. Leverson; her children Jackie (Steve) Sayler, James Leverson, John Leverson, Janet Leverson and Joel (Julie) Leverson. Grandchildren, Cory (Lori) Sayler, Danielle (Jeff) Steckler, Helen Leverson and Erin Leverson and her great-grandchildren Owen, Isaac, Everett, Cooper and Nash.
Kay's memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Fargo, ND. Visitation will be held one hour prior. Burial will take place at Davenport Cemetery in Davenport, ND.
Kay requested memorials be sent to the Immanuel Lutheran Church Giving to God's Firm Foundation (GFF).
