Kathy was born on October 7, 1957 to Adolph & Maxine (Schimming) Mickelson in Moorhead, MN.
She graduated from Fargo South High School. She also served in the United States Army. Kathy worked over the years in maintenance and housekeeping positions. She had a love for animals and always wanted to have animals around her; they always made her so happy.
Kathy was preceded in death by her mother, Maxine Mickelson and her stepmother, Gladys Mickelson.
She is survived by her father, Adolph (Betty) Mickelson; sisters, Vicki (Ron) Beaton, Rochert, MN, Patricia (Robert) Rheault, Detroit Lakes, MN; brothers, Hugh (Kelly) Mickelson, Dallas, TX, Kim (Linda) Mickelson, Savage, MN; numerous nieces and nephews and her friend, Stewart.
