Kathryn (Cole) Aspelund Rosendahl, 95, was born in LaMoure, ND, to Dr. Howard L. and Martha (Froemke) Cole on October 17, 1928. She graduated from LaMoure High School in 1946 and attended NDSU for two years in pre-pharmacy.

She married Robert (Bob) V. Aspelund on June 23, 1947, in LaMoure, ND, and they had two daughters, Roberta (Bobbie) Holman and Pamela Suchor. They lived in LaMoure for many years, where she worked at First State Bank of LaMoure and alongside her husband as bookkeeper for Aspelund Lumber Company.

She was very active in community organizations, including First Presbyterian Church in LaMoure, where she served as Superintendent of Sunday School and Elder, Past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, and Department President for the American Legion Auxiliary. She was a Life Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. She was a very loyal Republican and ran many campaigns for Senator Young of LaMoure.

She was very active as first lady of El Zagal Shrine when Bob served as Potentate in 1987. They arranged a trip to the national convention in Las Vegas for all the ND Shriners and enjoyed many years of activities with their good friends in the Shrine.

They moved to their lake home on Lake Lida, and she worked as a bank teller at Wells Fargo Bank in Pelican Rapids for many years before her retirement. Bob died in 1996.

Kathryn married James G. Rosendahl in August 2001. They enjoyed many years of living at Lake Lida in the summer and spending winters in Mesa, Arizona. She was very blessed to have another loving family added to her full life.

Kathryn is survived by her daughters, Bobbie Holman and Pam (John) Suchor; grandchildren, Greg Holman, Jodi Holman, Kimberly (Shawn) Bogart, Jocelyn (Adam) Mohs, and Scott (Tressa) Suchor; and nine great-grandchildren, Andrew & Elijah Holman, Benjamin & Oliver Bogart, Isaac & Ian Mohs, and Brayden, Briggs, & Sophia Suchor. She is also survived by special nephews, Lester (Carol) Paulson, Tom (Nancy) Aspelund, Dan (Paula) Aspelund, Jon (Connie) Aspelund, Jan (Denise) Aspelund; niece, Julie Aspelund Hanson; two stepsons, Tom and Tim Rosendahl, and their families.

She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; brother, Howard Cole; sister, Jeanette Paulson; son-in-law, Mark Holman; and stepson, Terry Rosendahl.
