Kathie Marie Schobinger, 67, of Fargo, ND, died on December 28, 2022 with her family by her side.

Kathie was born June 11, 1955 in Bismarck, ND to Gladys and Harold Dockter of Mandan, ND. She had two siblings, John and Iris.

Kathie grew up in Mandan, ND. After high school, she attended North Dakota State University. She married Gene Schobinger in November of 1976. After getting married, they moved to Gardner, ND where they raised their two sons, Robert and Brian. Her jobs included working at American Life and Tharaldson Enterprises. She would also go to various craft shows on the weekends. Gene and Kathie founded SWEN Weathervanes in 1998.

Kathie loved cooking, baking, updating her M & M collection, and having each container filled for all the kids to fill a treat bag (adults too). She loved spending time with her friends and family. There have been lots of memories made with our extended craft show family. What she wanted most in this world was for everyone to be kind, laugh lots, and have fun.

Kathie was preceded in death by her parents, Gladys and Harold; husband, Gene; brothers-in-law, Tony Swedlund and Roger Schobinger; and grandparents.

Kathie is survived by her sons, Robert (Kim) and Brian; grandchildren, Brody, Madison, and Morgan; siblings, Iris Swedlund of Velva, ND and John (Mona) Dockter of Mandan, ND; mother-in-law, Betty Schobinger Mickelson; in-laws, Lee (Judy) Schobinger of Sheldon ND, Gail (Mounty) West of Peoria, AZ, Meri (Curtis) Thompson of Manhatten, KS, Sue (Rick) Meyer of Hiawatha, IA, and Robb (Mavis) Schobinger of Oxbow, ND. She also had several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, as well as numerous relatives.
