Kari A. Al-Khafaji was born to Shirley (Kosen) and Melvin Miller in Moorhead, MN on September 8, 1962. She graduated from Oak Grove High School. Kari lived her life in the Fargo-Moorhead area and worked at various businesses. Kari married Lonnie Davis in her parents’ home. They had a son, Chisum who was born prematurely and died a few days after birth. Kari later married Naji Al-Khafaji in Damascus, Syria.
Kari had a wonderful sense of humor, a loving heart and at times, a sharp tongue. She was a loyal friend to Geri Bistadeau since elementary school. She was proud of and loved her house.
Kari is survived by her siblings, Rebecca (Robert) Buzby, Henderson, NV; Donnie (Teri) Miller, Anderson, CA; Pam (Jon) Regula, West Fargo, ND; Susan (Craig) Koeppe, Fargo, ND; nieces and nephews: J.J. (Mari) Regula, Lincoln (Kenzie) Regula, Nicole (Jed) Brannberger, Christopher (Lacie) Finke, Nathan (Kim) Finke, Seth Buzby, Sarah Buzby and Showell Buzby. She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Shirley Miller; grandparents; her first husband, Lonnie Davis; her son, Chisum Davis; two cousins, Tracy and Danny; and two aunts.
