Julie Strelow, 25, of Moorhead, MN, went home to the Lord on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at Sanford Health, Fargo.
Julie Ann Strelow was born April 5, 1988 in Dubuque, IA. At 8-months old, Julie was adopted by Bruce and Annie (Gross) Strelow. They lived in Des Moines, IA until Julie was eight years old, at which point they moved to Moorhead, MN. She attended school in Moorhead, and she graduated from Moorhead Senior High School in 2009.
Julie had a great personality, and was a happy individual who loved people. She loved her siblings, and walking around the neighborhood greeting everyone.
Julie started in this world at 1 lb 8 oz, and survived challenges that doctors did not believe she would live through. She loved the LifeFlight nurses, and got to know them very well through the years. She had so many traumatic events with her health through her life, eventually thriving on such trauma, in which she would often convey patience and courage that most can only imagine. Julie had a strong faith, and made the doctors pray with her before any surgery that she had.
Though her life had many hurdles, they did not prevent her from touching many peoples’ lives and leaving a lasting impact in this world.
Julie is survived by her parents; siblings, Kevin (Justina) Strelow, Lisbon, IA; Cori Strelow, Moorhead, MN; nephews, Dakota and Brayden Strelow; grandparents, Bert (Charlotte) Strelow and Joyce Gross; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandpa, Art Gross.
