Judith Ann Halvorson

Judy (Bjornstad) Halvorson died on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at the age of 79, after a lengthy illness.
Judy was born on May 12, 1942 in Langdon, ND, the daughter of Martin and Lydia (Amundson) Bjornstad, who later moved to Walhalla, ND.
Judy graduated from Walhalla High School in May, 1960, and from Aakers Business School, in 1962. She worked for several years as a secretary in the Admissions Office, at the University of North Dakota. She later moved to work as a financial and records secretary for Radiology Limited/Merit Care, in Fargo, ND, remaining there for over 30 years. She was a diligent and reliable worker, as well as one who was deeply loved by the other staff.
Judy married Jerald (Jerry) Halvorson on December 26, 1980. They resided in Fargo, ND, as well as Dunvilla, near Pelican Rapids, MN. Later, they made Fort Mohave, AZ, their seasonal home.
Judy was an active member of First Lutheran Church, Fargo, and Zion Lutheran Church, Detroit Lakes, MN.
Judy was a delightful, energetic, and friendly person, creative in many ways. She loved to laugh, and was loved by her family and her many friends.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers - Donald, Omar, and Ardell Bjornstad; one sister, Muriel Rogelstad; brother-in-law, Al Rogelstad; brother-in-law, Richard Etterman; and nephews Derek Lambert and Robert Winberg.
Judy is survived by her husband Jerry; two sisters: Eileen Etterman and Laurie (Luther) Anderson, both of Moorhead, MN; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements are pending.
