Joyce Irene Sebens

Joyce Irene Sebens was born April 28, 1943, to Herman and Mayme (Nelson) Sebens in Milnor, ND. She lived there with her parents until 1994 then moved to Fargo, ND. Joyce passed away on October 7, 2021.

She overcame many difficulties in her life, but she was determined to be independent and live alone in her own apartment. She lived at the Fargo High Rise for several years and later moved to the Sunrise N apartments. She loved living at the Sunrise, where she could play bingo, dance, and go for coffee and treats but most of all visit with the residents who she considered all of the residents there her friends. She was able to live independently for 27 years with the loving care of the staff at the Community Living Services. Joyce loved everything Elvis, country music which was on her radio all day and night, ceramics, and going to the dollar store.

Joyce is survived by her sisters, Lorraine Francis, Mavis (Lowell) Veum, and Carol (Bob) Schmitz. Preceding her in death were her parents, her sister Margaret Kuehn, her brothers-in-law, John Francis and Charles Kuehn, and her nephews, Jeff Francis and Thomas Schmitz. A service will be held at the Milnor Lakeside Cemetery on Monday, October 11, at 1:00.
