Joyce Eileen Olson

Joyce E. Olson, 71, of Fargo, ND, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2015.

Joyce Eileen Nohre was born August 3, 1943 in Fergus Falls, MN to Melvin and Clara (Nordby) Nohre. She graduated from Elbow Lake High School in 1961 and earned a degree from Moorhead State University in 1967. She married Allen (Ollie) Olson June 29, 1969.

Joyce taught two years at the Willmar Area Technical College and two years at St. Paul Harding High School. After moving to Fargo in 1971, she taught in the Moorhead Public Schools until retiring in 1999.

Joyce enjoyed reading, spending time at the lake, pontoon cruises, and Fighting Sioux hockey. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and four grandchildren.

Joyce is survived by her husband of 45 years, Ollie, her son Matt (Jami) Olson of Fargo, ND, her daughter Keely (Ryan) Johnson of St. Michael, MN, her grandchildren Luke, Logan, and Olivia Olson and Peter Johnson, brothers Allen (Kathie) Nohre and Marland Nohre, brothers-in-law Lyle (Debbie) Krusemark and Dennis Olson, and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents Melvin and Clara Nohre, her sister Janice Krusemark, and her brother-in-law Dean Olson.
