Joyce Morris

Joyce Morris, 87, of Fargo, ND, died Tuesday, August 16, 2011, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Joyce Meta Artamenko was born January 3, 1924, in Fargo, North Dakota, daughter of Michael and Meta (Lemke) Artamenko. She grew up and attended school in Fargo. Joyce married Jesse Morris April 22, 1943, in Fargo, ND. He passed away in 2005. Joyce was a life long homemaker. Joyce is survived by two sons, Randy Morris, Fargo, ND; and Gary Morris, Grand Forks, ND; two daughters, Carol (Richard) Paradee, Aurora, IL; and Judy Chick, Temecula, CA; three sisters, Pat Janson, Gail Sjurseth and Doris Hitchen; two brothers, Jack and Sam Artamenko; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse; her son, Jack Morris; grandson, Justin Chick; son-in-law, Dave Chick; sister, Nancy Jansen; and brothers, Bill Artamenko and Bob Artamenko. Funeral Service: Saturday, August 20, 2011, at 2:00 PM, at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home Chapel, Fargo, ND. Visitation: Friday, August 19, 2011, from 5-7 PM, at Hanson-Runsvold. Burial: Riverside Cemetery, Fargo, ND.
