Joyce Burley

Joyce E. Burley, 84, of Fargo died January 18, 2008 at Bethany Homes, Fargo, ND. Joyce Tvedt was born December 16, 1923 in Newfolden, MN where she grew up and attended school. She moved to Fargo in 1949 where she was employed as a bookkeeper at the Fargo Book Store and Fargo Insurance until 1956 when she married Delos Burley. They farmed near Gardner. He died in 1980. She is survived by two daughters, Marlene (Ray) Morgel of Portal, ND and Pamela Burley of Fargo; four sisters, Bernette Reed, Silverton, OR, Pearl Nelson, Beaverton, OR, Irma (Helmer) Hanson, Fargo, ND and Marlys (Clarence) Peterson, Fargo, ND; two brothers Irwin Tvedt, Mesa, AZ and Donald (Pat) Tweet, Tuscon, AZ; one sister-in-law, Edna Tweet, Auburn, CA and twenty-one nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers that memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society. Funeral Service: Monday, January 21, 2008 at 10:00 AM at First Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND. Visitation: Sunday, January 20, 2008 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, ND. Burial: Riverside Cemetery, Fargo, ND.
