Joy Lunday

Joy Lunday, 74, of Fargo, ND, died Friday, June 29, 2007, at MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, ND, after a long courageous battle of cancer. Joy Lunday was born December 22, 1932, in Fargo, North Dakota, to Quentin and Myra Ziner. She graduated from Fargo Central High School. On March 16, 1951 she married John Lunday Jr. They lived in Fargo. As her family was growing up Joy was active with J-C-Ettes, Homemakers, Camp Fire, and PTA. Joy and her family enjoyed water skiing, snow skiing and swimming together. Joy worked at St. Luke’s Hospital from 1972 to 1995. She retired due to her health. Family, faith and her beloved dogs were the most important things in her life. Joy was preceded in death by her parents, Quentin and Myra Ziner. Joy is survived by her children Paulette Butenhoff, Fargo, ND; Vicki (Rod) Stainbrook, Detroit Lakes, MN; John Lunday III, Fargo, ND; Sharon (Alan) Watson, Buxton, ND; Todd Lunday, Fargo, ND; and Lisa (Gary) Noyes, Dilworth, MN; 11 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and her much loved dogs (Nellie, Brandy and Shadow). Funeral Service: Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at 1:00 pm, at First Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND. Visitation: One hour prior to the service at the church. Burial: Riverside Cemetery, Fargo, ND.
