Joshua Taylor Wold was granted his angel wings on June 10, 2013, following a serious motorcycle accident on June 2, 2013. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Josh had touched in some way throughout his short, yet very memorable life.
Josh was born on May 5, 1989 to Lynn and Sara Wold. He was baptized and confirmed at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Abercrombie, ND. He graduated from Richland High School, Colfax, ND in 2007 and attended North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton, ND. He was currently employed by Myron Tschakert Farms and had previously worked at Northland Truss Systems, Abercrombie.
Josh's life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by him understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. His gentle smile could melt the hearts of those around him, his voice and thoughts could always be heard.
Although Josh was with us for only a short time, he was always there when someone needed help with something. Whether it be filling sand bags during the floods or just fixing a door or window, he would always take the time to be there for someone in need. He enjoyed spending the summers fishing at the lake, snowmobiling in the winter and spending time with his cousins, and most recently, he loved riding his new motorcycle.
With Josh's passing, we remind others that his life is one to be celebrated. Although we will miss him everyday, especially his winning smile. He will forever remain in our hearts. Through his teachings about life, we were able to create wonderful memories and it has been a privilege to be his parents.
Josh is survived by his loving parents, Lynn Wold, Wahpeton, ND and Sara Wold, Holmes Beach, FL; grandmother, Beverly Carlson, Wolverton, MN; uncles, Scott Carlson (Gayle) and their children, Jennifer and Tyler(Rachel), Fargo, ND; Curt Carlson(Karen Williams) Moline, IL; Purdon Wold (Nicole) and their children, Chelsea and Britany, Puyallup, WA; aunts, Julie Schumacher and her children, Lexi, Chloe, Krista and Mya, Fargo, ND; Jodi Wold-Heyen and her children, Christian, Austin and Brady; and uncle Wes Heyen, Abercrombie, ND.
