John Snell

John Allen Snell was born on June 16, 1942, in Concordia, Kansas, to Albert and Elizabeth Snell. He has three sisters and one brother - Myrna, Sharon, Glenda, and Raymond. He joined the US Navy and served from 1960 until 1962. John has two daughters Robyn, Rebecca, and two granddaughters Natalia and Amy. In 1985, he married Carol Ann Konrad at Camp Verde, AZ. John lived in Jamestown, ND, and worked at the Jamestown State Hospital until his retirement in July 2003. In 2004, John moved to Fargo, ND, and lived there until his death at ManorCare October 7, 2009. John loved woodworking and collecting all sorts of different things. He loved to spend a day just window shopping with Carol in any type of store. John enjoyed country western music, plays and shows, and western art. John was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Elizabeth Snell and daughter, Gretchen M. Snell. He is survived by Carol Ann, his daughters, granddaughters, sisters, and brother. Funeral Service: Saturday, October 10, 2009, at 2:00 PM, at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, ND. Visitation: One hour prior to the service at Hanson-Runsvold.
