John Michael Pfau was born in Moorhead, Minnesota, to Andrew and Mary Jane (Lee) Pfau on October 7, 1950.

He passed away on March 26, 2022, in his home. He was 71 years old.

He attended school in Moorhead, Minnesota, and Fargo, North Dakota (Fargo High). He enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1968. He married Sandra Newton on December 29, 1970. They were married for seven years. He moved to California in 1977. John started working for Bristol Industries in August 1977. John was promoted to Manufacturing Manager in 2015. He worked for over 40 years in the aerospace business. He also drove cross country truck for CRSR for two years.

John married Loretta Elaine (Lundberg) Olsen, on July 30, 1978, in Santa Ana, California. John loved riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle, fishing, playing video poker, and making small projects in his garage. Loretta was the love of his life. They were married for 43 years.

John did not have any children, but when he married Loretta, he became a husband, a father to Denise (Don) Hastings, Fargo, North Dakota, Paula (Larry) Sather, Rowland Heights, California, and Wade (Tracy) Weist, Las Vegas, Nevada, a Grandfather to 6 granddaughters, and a great-Grandfather to 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-granddaughter.

John is survived by his wife: Loretta. Children: Denise, Paula, Wade. Brothers: Joseph (Cecilia) Pfau, West Fargo, North Dakota, and Bernard (Gayle) Pfau, Fargo, North Dakota; three sisters: Teresa Pfau, Fargo, North Dakota; Diane (Toby) Slusser, Pomona, California and Debbie Sandbeck, Fargo, North Dakota. Several nieces and nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and two great-great-granddaughters.

John is preceded in death by his parents: Mary Jane and Andrew Pfau, brother Paul Alan Pfau, and his great-granddaughter, Rylie Amber Efterfield.

Pallbearers are: Alan Solwold, Kevin Solwold, Wallace Solwold, Scott Lundberg, Darcy Lundberg and Justin Irons.

John Pfau's Funeral Service will be held Monday, April 4, 2022, at 2:00 PM, at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, North Dakota.

Visitation will be held Sunday, April 3, 2022, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM, at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, North Dakota.

Burial will be Monday, April 4, 2022, at Riverside Cemetery, Moorhead, Minnesota.
