John Dabill, 88, of Fargo North Dakota passed away on Thursday, July 18 at Sanford hospital in South Fargo surrounded by family and friends.
John was born on Febuary 28, 1925 in Pine River, MN, the sixth of nine children born to True and Harriet Dabill
.
John served in the Army in Korea, returning to Fargo to study at Dakota Business College. He worked at Overvold Motors before launching a 32 year career at Gate City Bank where he served in a number of roles including Loan Manager, Secretary Treasurer, Director of Savings and VP/Human Resources.
In 1958 John married Ethel Hanson, and had two children, James (Maple Grove, MN), David (New York, NY).
John was known for his creative landscaping, his inventive carpentry, his kindness and his quick wit. He was active at the Meadowridge Bible Chapel where he served as an elder and led a number of bible studies each week.
He is survived in death by his wife and children, one sister Mary Jones (Oregon), three grandchildren (Lauren, Mollie, True) and one great grandchild, Tyler Collin.
