Joanne Tollefson

JoAnne Faith Tollefson, 77, of Fargo, died Thursday, December 25, 2008 at her home. JoAnne Faith Fisher was born to John and Faith (McDonald) on September 28, 1931. She graduated from West High School in Minneapolis. After graduating she went to work for the Federal Reserve Bank in Minneapolis, MN until 1951. She married James O. Tollefson in 1951 and they moved to Omaha, NE. She worked for the Federal Reserve Bank until 1953 when they moved back to Fargo. Jim died in 1968. JoAnne was involved with Opportunity School Teaching for four years, Elkettes, bridge club, Sunday school teacher at Olivet Lutheran Church, Circle Leader, St. Luke’s Auxiliary and many other activities at church. JoAnne is survived by two daughters, Peggy (Mike) Endres and Pamela (Marty) Gompf; five grandchildren, Scott (Lauren), Matt and Kyle Endres and Jennifer and Cory (Laura) Gompf; sister, Julie Ross; nephew, Scott Ross and daughter Faye; brother David (Carol) Fisher. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jim; grandson, Derrick Gompf and longtime companion W.R. Bjerken Memorial Service: Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at 10:00 AM at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, ND. Visitation: One hour prior to services at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home. Inurnment: Riverside Cemetery, Fargo, ND.
