Joanne Margaret Nelson

Joanne Margaret Nelson of West Fargo, North Dakota passed away peacefully in Fargo on May 11, 2015 at the age of 80 years. Joanne was born in Dassel, MN and grew up in Minneapolis. She graduated from Edison High School in 1951. Joanne married Robert Walfred Nelson in 1956 and they spent a large portion of their lives traveling with the United States Air Force.
Joanne lived with her family for over 30 years in Grand Forks, ND before moving to West Fargo, ND to be closer to her children.
Joanne is survived by sons, Bob (Cathy) of Fargo, Mark (Becky) of Golden Valley, MN; daughter Karen (Lanny) Molstad of West Fargo; grandchildren, Mitchell and Matthew Molstad, Nicole (Nick) Law, Erik and Madeline Nelson. She also will be missed by many dear lifelong friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Colonel (retired) Robert W. Nelson and her parents Frank and Aurora Jenkins.
Private family service will be held at Hillside Cemetery in Minneapolis.
