Joann C. Rhinhart, 66, of Moorhead, MN, (formerly of Northfield, MN) died Monday, January 8, 2007, at Golden Living Center, Moorhead, MN. Joann Carol Rhinhart was born February 13, 1940, in Moorhead, Minnesota, daughter of O. Joseph and Leola (Bernsdorf) Rhinhart. She lived with her parents in Georgetown, Minnesota, before moving to Fargo, North Dakota. Joann was educated in Fargo public schools and went on to graduate from Minnesota State University-Moorhead with a degree in elementary education. Joann taught two years in the Anoka, Minnesota, school district and 35 years in the Northfield, Minnesota school district. She was always busy with her painting, flower gardening, hardanger stiching and traveling. Her travels, which she did with many of her friends, included trips throughout the U.S., Europe and Russia. She was active in MN DFL and Trinity Lutheran Church in Northfield and various teacher organizations. She moved to Waterford in Fargo in July 2002, and most recently to Golden Living Center in Moorhead in August of 2004. Joann is survived by her brothers and sister, Joseph (Nancy) Rhinhart, Rogers, MN; Gayle (David) Matz, Wolverton, MN; Paul (Jane) Rhinhart, Northborough, MA; David (Beth) Rhinhart, Apopka, FL; Timothy (Lynn) Rhinhart, Fargo, ND; ten nieces; one step-niece; seven nephews and one step-nephew; grand-nieces; step-grand-niece; grand-nephews; and her very close friend and traveling companion, Bonnie Gretz. Joann’s family wish to thank the staff of Golden Living Center for so lovingly caring for Joann. Memorials are preferred to the Alzheimer’s Association. Funeral Service: Saturday, January 13, 2007, at 2 PM, at Hanson-Runsvold Chapel, Fargo, ND. Visitation: One hour prior to the service at the chapel. Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo, ND. Memorial Service: Tuesday, February 13, 2007, at 7:00 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church, Northfield, MN
