Jesse John Paulson, 86, of Fargo, ND, passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2021, in Edgewood Vista Memory Care under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley in Fargo, ND.
Jesse was born on January 4, 1935 in Lisbon, ND to Lars and Minnie (Buss) Paulson. He grew up on a farm in the Lisbon area and married Marion Leach in 1954. They made their home in Fargo, where they raised their two children, Michael and Mark.
Jesse worked at the Fargo Foundry (Mid America Steel) for 35 years and was a foreman in the tank shop. He enjoyed outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, and softball. After retirement, he obtained his Private Pilot Certificate and enjoyed giving rides to family and friends. Jesse and Marion both enjoyed road trips to the casino to try their luck on the slot machines. Even in his later years in memory care, Jesse was known for his wonderful singing voice and sense of humor.
Jesse is survived by his son, Mike (Barb) Paulson, Fargo, ND; grandchildren, Ryan Paulson and Jessica (Noah) Dunlap; great-grandchildren, Jacqlyn Paulson and Iris Dunlap; brother, Larry (Jan) Paulson; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Marion; son, Mark Paulson; brothers, Clarence and Milton Paulson; sisters, Bernadine Sire and Neva Olson.
Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens in Fargo, ND.
