Jerry Deloss

Jerry Edward DeLoss, 75, of Fargo, ND, died Saturday, September 26, 2009 at Bethany Homes in Fargo. Jerry DeLoss was born March 19, 1934 in Cherokee, Iowa to Gerald and Marjorie (Stanosheck) DeLoss. He graduated from Central High School in Sioux City, IA. He also attended the University of South Dakota. Jerry was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. He married Arladine “Deanie” Hunter on April 30, 1960 in Sioux City, IA. They moved to West Fargo in 1977 and raised their family there. Jerry worked in many positions that took him from Sioux City to Fargo, then to South Dakota, Idaho, Minnesota, and back to Fargo. He was a lifetime member of the Mobil Nobles and a member of El Zagal Shriners in Fargo. He was also a member of Abu Bekr Shriners in Sioux City, IA. He was a 50 year member of Tyrian Lodge in Sioux City and a member of the Scottish Rite of both Fargo and Sioux City. He obtained 32° and was honored with KCCH. Jerry is survived by his three sons: Curtis (Christina) DeLoss and their children Farren Pruitt, Heather DeLoss, Hannah Williams and their grandchild Zadie Pruitt all of Keller, TX; Gerald “Jud” (Joanne) DeLoss and their children Dunford “Ford” DeLoss and Joselle “Josey” DeLoss all of Deerfield, IL; and Jeffrey DeLoss of Reile’s Acres, ND; and one brother, Robert DeLoss of Sioux City, IA. He is also survived by a friend of the family, Aaron LaPlante. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife. Memorials are preferred to The Scottish Rite “RiteCare” Speech Clinic.
